Our latest venture involves young people who are not medically disadvantaged.  The "Outstanding Youth Award" honors students of the D.C. Pubic High School School System for academic excellence, their extraordinary contributions to their schools, and outstanding Community service.  Each of the seventeen public high schools nominates one student (all of whom receive a small stipend and a new lap-top computer).  A panel of outside judges selects an overall winner, second and third place.  In addition to their lap-top computers, they receive awards of $10,000, $7,500, and $5,000 respectively.
