Pet-A-Pet Picnic

The Kiwanis Club Of Washington, D.C. A relatively new event, it has become one of our favorites, and one of the most  heart-warming.   Here, blind children have the opportunity to touch, hold and communicate with animals they have only heard about (or for those trained in Braille, read about).  Again using a sylvan setting, the children need little urging to make acquaintance with a variety of animals, including sheep, goats, rabbits, chickens, ducks, geese, donkeys, and even a llama!
